96 F250 4x4 PS pump problem-help
I've got the 7.5L 5-spd and running 39 Mickeys. Seems at low RPM, such as turning corners or parking, my ps pump is not putting out enough psi to turn the wheels. Is my ps pump going bad or do I need a bigger pump??? BTW, yes I have checked the fluid! LOL!

I wonder if changing to a smaller pulley would help? I have also seen an article online about drilling out the check valve that goes in the back of your powersteering pump which gives more pressure. That was on a redneck ram upgrade. I am not sure if thats a good option or not. Have you drained or flushed the P.S. fluid? Might be worth doing also.

If they can turn that easy it sounds like you have a problem. I would try a pump. If that dosen't help then you need a steering dampener. It is something like a shock that gets mounted horizontally same as the steering. All it does is help move the steering componets.
