4.0 engine swap question

i recently have been swapping a 92 4.0 into a 94 explorer, i need to know 2 things. how exactly do i set the cam sensor? also the fuel pump is not coming on for some reason, i have all the wiring hooked up the cutoff switch is fine and the pump was fine when i parked itbut i have no fuel at all going to the regulator.. please help ... thanx in advacne

With the fuel problem I would think you have some sort of vacuum leak in the fuel line that is causing the fuel to run back down the line. Maybe try posting in the v6 section or asking a mechanic about the cam sensor.

fuel pump

there is no fuel at all the pump is not coming on, it worked fine b4 the swap

Have you got the CAMP sensor installed, yet? I'm not real familiar with a '94, but I know the computer won't close the fuel pump relay (other than the first few seconds after the key is turned on) until it sees the CID/TACH/PIP signal. On a '94, I'm not certain if that signal is generated by the CAMP or CKP. Basically, if you don't have the CAMP sensor installed, the computer may not want to run the fuel pump.

Will the fuel pump run if you ground the fuel pump test lead (short end of self-test connector)? If not, then you need to go through the fuel pump circuit and find the break. Fuel pump circuit isn't overly complicated.
