Which Flowmaster?
Anyone here have a Flowmaster muffler on their truck? I heard a sound clip on flowmastermufflers.com for the 50 Series HD muffler http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/50_hd.html It sounds like a Powerstroke. I want to buy a Flowmaster, I'm just not sure which one. The 50 HD sounds good, but they make about 50 different models. I thought if some of you out here have one (or two) installed on their truck, you can tell me what you think. I know a 40 series is louder than a 50 series, but the sound clip is the only one that features a Diesel. If anyone has a sound clip of their own truck, I'd like to hear them. I am thinking about getting a single inlet/dual outlet and running two tailpipes, behind the rear wheels...I have the 7.3 IDI with a banks sidewinder kit, but I think the muffler is too quiet, and I'm worried a straight pipe won't pass VA state inspection, plus I prefer a "tuned" or "chambered" sound over an open exhaust. Just thinking out loud and looking for feedback.

Mike, I currently have a Flowmaster 40 series on my NA Diesel. It is not as loud as I wanted but it has a nice rumble to it. My future plans are adding a turbocharger so a straight piped exhaust will be in order

i just put a delta 50 on my truck after hearing the open stacks for 20 years. before, you could hear it from 1 mile away. now the neighbors tell me they can only hear me from 2 blocks(about 1/4 mile) away.
