New To Forum

Hello Everyone,
I'm new here and just bought a 77 F100 long bed from the orginal owner. It has 128000 miles and had a repaint back in 2000. He installed power steering and it whins when I turn the steering wheel. He gave me a new power steering pump for it. I was wondering if there was anything I should check before I change it. Also where is a good place to get parts for it? I need a door panel it it broke where the door pull is. Also how about sheet metal or patch panels. Also tuch up paint it is a light blue I would say baby blue.
Thanks
Also how can I post pictures of it? I use PhotoBucket to post on other forums.

theres a list of sponsors on the left that have almost anything you could need for your truck. the power steering pump may just be low on fluid or it could be about to crap the bed. as for pictures just copy and paste the IMG code

Before you put on the new pump, flush the steering system. To do this properly, get about 4 quarts of power steering fluid from the auto supply. Remove the return hose from the pump and lower it down into a drain pan. Have 2 quarts of p/s fluid ready and have an assistant start the engine and begin turning the steering wheel slowly from one side to the other while you pour in the fluid. As soon as you have poured both quarts of the fluid in and it has all run out have your assistant shut off the engine immediately.

After engine is shut off, put on your new pump and hook everything up. Fill the reservoir and have the assistant start the engine and start turning lock to lock as before while you slowly fill the reservoir. Turning lock to lock is bleeding air from the system. Once it is not making noise and system is full you are done.

Yes they have parts but one thing they don't have is a FREE web site for people to ask tech questions .......that FTE sponsors provides.

Perhaps you can recommend FTE sponsors instead of LMC.

LMC doesn't make their parts.. they buy them like the other companies but a LOT of their parts are inferior for qaulity and fitment.

Most new users Don't know this .

people who "cheer lead" for LMC will have a dicussion with FTE staff.

Whitlow welcome to FTE and this forum.

May I suggest you have a look at the FAQ thread attached to the top of this forum to see the post by Torque 1st about the power steering filter system to remove particulates from the system
