Tonight I was testing my glow plugs to see which ones were bad. On the right side bank on the back plug, the outside prong closest to the firewall is melted. I unplugged it and noticed a piece of the plug missing. I looked where it plugs into the valve cover gasket, and it is still in there. It either broke off or melted. Can you buy just that end of the plug so I can cut the wires and wire up the new one. Or any suggestions? Its a 97 F350 PSD Thanks
P.S. I need the plug end on the wiring harness not the valve cover gasket end. I think i can get the broken piece out with needle nose pliers. But the harness end is shot it needs to be replaced.
If the valve cover gasket side is melted I would go ahead and replace it. I think it's only 30-40$ if I remember right. I would replace it all in my opinion.
