Exploreer high idle/ low idle

I have a ford explorer, which seems to have a bad idle. sometimes when i come to a stop the idle will drop down to an almost stall, and sometimes it will jump up really high, and will want to drive and i have to push realy hard on the brakes to keep it from hitting the car in front of me. can someone help me out, i have no idea where to start.

Sounds like a dirty IAC. Try cleaning or replace.

This should help.

most of the time you will need to replace the iac, but do try cleaning it first.

reset the computer after cleanin and after replacing if you end up doing that.
