So I've still been looking into gauges. Came across Banks PowerPDA and man that is nice. Not so sure how it all works though. I mean, is it just a diag tool or tuner...or both?
I like all the features it has. The MSD dashhawk looks good too but the slick PDA interface on the PowerPDA has got my attention....and so does the price.
Can I run a different tune tool such as the SCT and monitor with the PDA?
I'd like to have the A-Pillar and gauges but as I'm looking at these other tools, not sure why I would take the time to mount all of that when I'd essentially get a whole lot more outta the other tools such as the PDA or dashhawk.
For gauges, the PDA and Dash hawk are depending on the stock sending units. I don't know how many of those are idiot light switches verse actual sending units. However, I'd rather trust some information to come from Autometer's sending units/gauges over the stock sensors.
As far as I can tell comparing my readings to people who have added aftermarket gauges the stock sending units are accurate.
I can confirm that the oil pressure sensor on the 6.0L is a simple switch and not a real pressure sensor, so you have to go aftermarket for that one. I am trying to get MSD to include it as one of the add on sensors for the Dashhawk.
