The perfect 6.9l engine

Hello, The 6.9l engine in my truck is tired and I am probally going to rebuild it. If I am going to put out the money to rebuild it I might as well try to up grade as much as possible. What parts would you put into a rebuild to make the engine as strong and reliable as possible. What heads would you use? What pistons/rods? What about cam/lifters/rockers assemblies? Usually some years had redesigned parts that worked better or were redesigned. What parts that can be borrowed from the 7.3l. I have heard of people turning a 6.9 into a 7.3 How is this done?

Look at Dave S. (moderator) pics he has. He is a very good source of info on rebuilds, mods to these engines.

I looked for Dave S. in the members list and could not find him. How do I locate him. I would be interested in his input.

Click on my name and then find all posts I have made.

I have listed everything I did several times, some of the lists are more complete than others though.
