I would guess that the front end will look like the new 2003 Expedition, which looks like a larger version of the Explorer. The tooling and designing is cheaper if it is common (SC and Expi)and since the Expedition was based off of the F 150 platform it will probably be the same. By the way, I have no insider info - just my educated guess.
Hi, I am in the same situation. I am thinking about a new supercrew in the near future, and I read where ford was going to update, not redesign the supercrew next year as a 2004 model. It will probably look similar to the new expedition, not much change. I certainly hope they will finally offer the 4x2 with the 3.73 rear end for hauling my trailer. You can get that rear end in everything they offer now, EXCEPT the 4x2 supercrew. If anyone knows anymore, please let me know. Thanks
I had read an article where Ford had stated a separation in design between the SUV's and the trucks. Maybe that's why the Expedition took on the look of the Explorer.
I know the '03 F-series will get a new look, but i'm not sure if it will look like the Expedition.
I don't know much about the 2003 supercrews, but I do know that ford is going for a complete redesign in 2004. With this in mind, i don't imagine there will be many significant changes for 2003. They recently released pictures of a Tonka F-250 and my guess would be that the F-150 will share a lot of the same traits.
I have heard nothing about any changes for the 2003 Supercrews.
I was also just told by a manager at a Ford dealership that there are no changes for 2003. Im sure just a price increase.
Ford is redoing the Crew in 2004,spending 1.5 billion to revamp it.
I am buying a new 2002 f150 supercrew tom. and I ask my dealer about any changes for 2003 and he said that there wouldn't be any major changes just some different trim package updates!
on your rear gear ratio i just got a new screw and in my search to switch out my blk wall tires for wht letters i find that the screws have 255 tires on them and the some ext cabs have 235 tires on them i think one could put on the 235 tires i beleive the weight rating and all that would be fine the only thing would be speed o meter would be off but i heard that they can be just reprogramed for the different tires let me know what you know or would find out about that thanks b abbott
Hi, I have a client who is the shop foreman for a case/IH dealership, he recently got back from some training on the new 6.0l diesel motor and said that they are also going to be putting a v-6 version into the 1/2 pickups soon ( must be 2004). Cant wait for my 2001 screw to be replaced by the 4.5L or whatever diesel. Eric
I to am looking for similar info as that I have read through in several of the posts here. I am close to buying a '02 Harley Hauler. I would really like to know what Ford has in store for the '03 F150 SuperCrew's and when they will be out. With the '03 Expeditions out one would think it would be very close, though 4 dealerships in the Charlotte area tell me they are clueless. The Harley Hauler seams to have more in common with mass production F150's than it does with the Lightning short of the power plant, so if anyone has found any updated info on '03 availability or changes I figure it will impact the Harley about the same. One dealership I'm working with has 11 Harley Haulers in stock and say's they have more on the way, given that since they rolled out you were lucky to find 1 or 2 at any single dealer, I am inclined to think Ford must be flushing the system of the '02 models in prep to intro the '03's. Just trying to figure out what I might be missing if I go with the '02 model.
