you didn't say if trailers are enclosed or flat bed but I know towing a 16ft enclosed weighing between 4000 and 4500 my sons 2001 F-150 with 5.4 dropped about 7 to 8 mpg on a 750 mile trip running 60 mph on interstate

my powerstroke will drop 3 to 5 mpg with same trailer loaded or empty

They are RV camping trailers. So if my mileage does improve it would be like never leaving home. Keep the fridge stocked, and the toilet empty..
