Is it possible???
I read that "Tremec Transmissions are a great replacement [for] toploader[s] in 1967-73 Mustangs. [They] can be made to fit in a 1965-66 Mustang when the floor is made to clear. The reason the Tremec make[s] great replacements to the toploaders is the bolt pattern is the same."

Not knowing anything about the Toploader nor the Tremec TKO2, is it possible to bolt it up to my 390 in my 70 3/4 ton? Are they talking about hooking it up to a Windsor motor? Or is there any reason at all to be replacing the C6? I realize the auto hooks up better, and the 4 speed is the simple solution to the conversion process, and gas milage. But a 5-speed would have some prestige (spelling) in my book. Im sure its been thought of, and theres a specific reason its never been done.
