starter problem.....help

i have a 1991 ford ranger stx 4.0 4x4 5 speed. in the last week i have had to put four new starters in my truck. i can't figure out why. all the wires are good, i replaced the solenoid and the battery cables are less than a month old. have checked all the connections on the starter as well as battery cable connectons. ignition switch checked out too. it is a lifetime warranty starter but i shouldn't have to replace it every other day. i've done it so many times it only takes me a little under ten minutes to change it now. any advice would be great.

What brand starters? Do they come with any required heat sheilds? I would strongly suspect that you are installing on of those Chinese rebuilt lifetime starters. I've been there on alternators.

Are you burning brushes or bendixes? That is a crazy amount to replace a starter at that rate you are gonna wallow out the threads on the truck!!!
