1.truck would start with good batts, 2 650CCA batts with 2 battery chargers, 1 that was set to 200 amp engine start hooked to the left battery, and the other set to 300 amp engine start connected right behingd the starter.....still no start.... so i decided it was the IP maybe ansd replaced it with the one off my 1970 turbo truck, one thing i noticed was on the 84 in my sig was that the lines were hooked up one way(supposedly when i bought the truck, a month previous the ip had been worked on....)now when i went to hook up the ip from the turbo truck, the lines were running to diff injectors then the one had been running to i took off......so i hooked it up the way from the turbo truck(thinking that since banks had installed the turbo and the turbo IP that that was the right way....) still no start, do you all think that the injectors are bad, or that the starter is, or both? TIA Dustin
Does the truck turn over good? If it does, are you gettin any smoke out the exhaust? If not have you checked to see if you are gettin power to the IP solenoid? If you are, i would check to see if you are gettin fuel to the IP, is the manual lift pump working?

White or light gray smoke is caused by unburned fuel passing through the engine. Some white smoke is normal on cold start-ups.
Excessive white smoke could be an indication of inoperative glow plugs, loose injectors, low compression from worn rings or bent connecting rods, or coolant leak into the cylinders.
I am assuming you have verified the proper fuel lift pump pressure and volume to the IP based on what you have posted with your pump changes.
Have you checked your glow plugs to see if they are all functioning?
Did you bleed the fuel from the fuel lines from the tank to the filter housing through the shreader valve on the housing, and all the injectors after you change the IP? It would be surprising that all the injectors would go out at once.
Did this problem just come up our has it been progressingly gettin worse with time.
