My rule of thumb is 10% under the max listed on the tires and work from there. My Mikey Thompsons made me work on the original of 10% under only. The fronts were too bouncy until I got them down from 20psi to 17psi, the rears were ok with 18psi.

For the BFGs I have now I run 44psi.

Take a look on the side wall of your tires, there is a Max cold PSI. That is the maximum amount of air you should use, and for mileage you will want to be pretty close to it.

It seems that the guys who run lower pressures are the ones who complain about there tires wearing fast. I always run them at the psi recomended by Ford. Yea it might ride a little rougher but not much. I would tell you how many miles I get to a set of BFG At's, but no one ever believes me.

Well, I'll post what I get on my BFG's. Whether you want to believe it or not is up to you, but there is a reason that the only tire I buy is BFG A/T's. I run them between 50-55 psi on all tires, all year long (including plowing in the winter....ever heard of lake-effect snow in Central NY?). I consistently achieve around 70,000+ miles per set. I also rotate them religiously.

My tires dry rot on the wheels before I wear them out, so I can't tell you how many miles I get out of them. I get about 5-7 years on a set before I replace them, that should work out to 35-50k miles.
