How do these programmers make their power

How do they get these huge HP and torque gains out of a programmer? Do they change injector duty cycle, timing, boost? It seems that they get a ton of power out of these tuners. I am looking at an SCT and was just curious. Any help would be great. Thanks

I dont know exactly how to answer your question but i can certainly direct you to the guru. Matt Geouge with http://www.spartandieseltech.com/.

He will have all the answers to any question you can possibly think of. If you are thinking about getting an SCT tuner he is the first person you should call.

We havent seen anything out of these 6.4s yet, well anywhere near theyre potential. I am hearing its possible to pump out 200 extra HP to the wheels on the 6.4 with removal of the Particulate and Catalyst. Not sure if it has been done in R&D yet but thats a number thats being thrown around.
