Top end building ?'s

I've got a 95 F-150 with a 5.0 and E7TE heads. What I'd like to do is pull the heads replace the lifters and pushrods, rebuild the heads with dual springs, some roller rockers, and port/polish the heads mildly then gasket match the upper/lower intakes to each other and to the heads as well as gasket match the heads to the longtube headers I'll be putting onto them.I would also like to get a mild cam like a comp cams 308-8 grind or an RV grind. My questions are with a mild cam or an RV grind....what roller rockers can I get away with 1.5's 1.6's or 1.7's that will clear my stock valvecovers...if the ones that will clear the stock covers won't give much of a difference in power, I'll get taller aluminum finned covers...but would they clear the stock intake without a spacer?Also......tech books that I have are somewhat confusing...what exactly style 302 do I have in my truck?(ie hydraulic roller.......) and what style lifters sould I get?Are the E7TE's solid mounted rockers or adjustables? The only mods I'd like to do to the truck are build the heads...a cam and the ignition system...I've got the intake pretty well covered as well as the exhaust...even though I'll be altering it later with a different system. And I've moved up from 3.31 gears in the rear to 3.55's.Thanks in advance....LaterOn

Oh yea, I've also searched extensively for the specs on an RV grind but haven't come up with anything really....can anyone give me an idea of the specs for an RV grind?

No need in getting 1.7 rockers if your replacing the cam, just get a cam that will work for your combo and stock 1.6 rockers.

also for a rv type build no need in gasket matching the intake, at this level you wont notice it at all.

just port the exhuast side of the heads....I got a bunch of pics if you want them...

do a search lots of smart guys here that have answered this type of ? not much into the performace efi stuff myself but there are plenty around here that are.

Good luck with your build.......

The E7's are called pedestal mount rockers. The only rockers that fit under the stock valve covers without trimming and are an upgrade are the roller tip ones. They're not really a power builder but they help a bit on wear. I'm with Hemi on the 1.7 rockers. Since your changing cams I wouldn't bother with 1.7 rockers.
