390 engine build

Alright I have been asking questions about my motor build, and gathering as much info as possible. Now I need some help on my setup and want some opinions on what to do. The motor is going in a 74' f100, I want to set it up for more performance than anything. The truck is not going to be a daily driver and I don't tow anything, so with that being said and a 390 engine, what would be a good setup for a 5800lb. truck? I know it's not going to be a race car, but would also like it to run as strong as possible, without spending a fortune.

4V and some headers will wake it up.

Get a decent cam in it just make sure you don't go too big in a truck like that you are going to gain more with torque than horsepower.
