A couple notes...........

.........for those interested...

Chrysler's new owners to mfgr one model in guess where???????????????
Hint: People there eat a lot of rice........

Evernham and Petty to merge.

Childress & DEI have merged, at least engine programs.

This allows each operation to go around the NASCAR limit of 4 cars per team.

Jr's new number is 88. jd

Chrysler isn't going to manufacture anything in China however. They have agreed to market a car already made in China by a Chinese company here in the states. Just as they did in the 80s with Mitsubishi.

Chrysler has had a history of adopting foreign vehicles and putting their name on it (or sometimes only the Chrysler star on one fender). A couple of their early adoption failures were English. Anybody remember when they imported the Plymouth Cricket and the Sunbeam Arrow from England. The imported them for a couple of years and then totally abandoned them. I bought a used Sunbeam Arrow that was only a couple of years old for $200 and found it impossible to get parts for it. They even imported a Simca at one time.
