Truck broken into
My Screw was broken into and it was too easy. Seems all you have to do is hit the little chrome key inset in the door with a screwdriver. That breaks the plastic retainer that holds it in place and all they have to do is turn it. On my alarm, when you unlock the doors- it kills the alarm. So, here what you guys need to do to prevent the "side effects". First, remove any address from the truck. They are stealing owners manuals- take it out of the truck. Your owners manual has the key code in it and all they have to do is order a key from any dealer. Now they can come get your truck anytime. Remove any banking info such as checking accounts, deposit slips, etc. They can order new checks for you and get to your mailbox before you do and start writing checks. Remove any pay slips, anything with your social security number. With your SSN they can assume your identity and start ordering credit cards that you are responsible for until you get the bills and notify the creditors but then it's too late. It happened to me- it can happen to you.

Ummmm... don't you have to keep your registration in the vehicle with you? That has your address on it. Seems you are getting a little paranoid.... sorry to hear about your break in though.
