theres 108 octane gas that is sold at the airport in my town,
could a stock 390 handle this stuff or is it to much?and the
highest station gas is 94 octane( i live in Canada) it packs
a punch,, but 108 mmmmmm i can feel my foot hitting the
floor already.

why? unless you have compression so high as to require it all you are doing is wasting money with anything other than 87 or 89, the higher the octane the harder it is for the fuel to ignite and you shouldn't need 108 unless your at 10.5:1 or higher compression

Ditto. If your 390 runs fine on 87 octane unleaded, switching to 94 or even 108 won't add anything but a huge drain on your bank account. It may allow you to advance your timing a little, and that could gain a little power, but not enough to justify the expense. About the only way to gain a lot of power by using 108 octane AV fuel or race gas is to either (1) tear down your motor and rebuild it with a much higher compression ratio (say, 11.5:1) that will take advantage of the higher octane, or (2) add a blower or turbo.
