Ok Im finally ready to start making bio diesel....need some imput please
I had some personal stuff to get out of the way first. Like completely remodeling my master bathroom, selling a boat and selling a camper. (making room) My questions are, should I go with an appleseed style (for cost) or turn key style (for ease uf use and set up)? Can the turnkey styles be financed? Roughly how much room will these complete kits take up? Can I do this in my garage? I am just sick and tired of paying thru the nose for pump diesel. $2.89 and regular gasoline is $2.45. Its just crazy and it makes me madder than hell everytime I have to fill up. Thanks for any imput and Im sure I will have a few more questions. There is a bio diesel class comming to Ft Worth at the end of next month, should I attend?

I take it you are familiar with http://biodiesel.infopop.cc
That's a good place to start, plus http://www.biodieselcommunity.org and you'd probably want to buy the book at http://www.localb100.com/book.html

How much mechanical and simple wiring do you percieve yourself doing? Can you braze with a torch? 1 55 gallon barrel is free or cheap and a heating element new is 12 bucks and the fitting is 3. The cheap pump is 50 bucks or scrounge around and make mixing apparatus or use a homedepo paint mixing rod. Its all cheap, just get all of your chemicals coming so when your ready your ready. Magnesol, methanol, KOH, filters, so on and so forth.
