Done my searchings and I'm not as stumped, but still have a question. Would a rough idle set off the "check engine" light? The light is off, but on my way home last night I actually thought I had a flat tire. This happened after I floored the beast to pass a car. Maybe an IPR? I had the wiring harness replaced about three months ago. Any help is good help!
It's best to get the X hooked up to a good diagnostic scanner at this point to be sure.
But I'm going to guess, repeat guess on a failed injector that is still plugged in so the code won't be set.
I don't think the engine management is very good at picking up P0300 (misfire) codes.
I've had one injector completly unplugged with a dead miss at idle and the only code generated is P1316 bad IDM code.
If you want to do your own work, I second Ron's suggestion of getting Auto Enginuity. Good diagnostic tools are required these days.
