Hey all
As some of you may know I am doing a slight performance build of a 1967.
So here is one of my many issues.
The 1967 was a 3/4 ton truck, which I'd rather have a 1/2 ton. I don't care about suspension. My first idea was to put the 1/2 ton axles from my 1969 parts truck under the frame and suspension of the 1967.
BUT
Now I'm thinking of just using the 1969 Frame and suspension and axles, but still use the 352 and the body from the 1967.
So does anyone know a reason wh either of these wouldn't work?
OR
could anyone sa which idea they think would be cooler.
Would the 3/4 ton suspension still give the truck a higher stance?
Snow, Power steering and disc brakes, are a must for our trucks. I suggest you look for a 73-76 half ton with a 360/390 and the transmission of your choice and use the chassis with your engine and sheet metal.
Welll thanks. The disc brakes I will think about.
I do have a 1975 with a 360 auto that I'm not attached to.
Call me stubborn but I'd rather stay with manual steering however.
