Progress Update
3 speed manual tranny was rebuilt at a shop, spent too much $750. It is back in and seems to be fine. <O

>Heads were removed and heli coils installed in four exhaust threads and now heads are back on. <O

>Headers installed. What a pain! But I am reliving my 20's so I had too have them. <O

>Speedo drive gear was an interesting effort, I have now twice tried to replace it and it appears that the 'ol redneck (I say with all respect) that had this truck before me tried to replace it once and did it backwards! I think he put he speedometer end of the cable in the tranny and of course I did the same. We’ll see. I will try again to get it right next week.<O

>I am in the middle of returning the three on the tree back to the column from the floor and it isn't going well. I can't get the darn thing to shift. I replaced the bad shift tube. I can shift by moving the levers under the hood but no luck with the shifter. I will purchase the upper and lower bearings and try again. I have a bet that this thing will be on the road by the end of September! I don't want to lose a lunch bet!... More to come<O
