302 in 48 FORD

302 in 48 FORD

I've been looking around to see if anyone has put a 302 in a 48 F1. The only engine mounts I could find were for 53 and after. Is there a reason for this?

Hmmn...my guess would have to be it's because of the switch from the FH V8 to the Y-Block.

Chassis Engineering has them. That's all I've been able to find for my 52. I plan to go with them instead of a universal one because they give you frame measurements. This should help me to keep from screwing it up. If you don't mind the universal one, TransDapt makes one that some of the F1 and F100 parts houses are selling as their own. It's part # 4819. You can get it at Summit Racing for less money too. I'e listed both.

I have one in my 51 using Chassis engineerings mounts.
Check my gallery for pics.
I had to shuffle the left mount back about an inch from what the instructions said.
