Job interview advice

I've got a appointment for a job interview on Monday at UPS in Springfield, MA. I got my CDL in July and I applied a shortly there after for a feeder drivers position.

I figure this is a part-time, up-comming holiday season, job which is just what I'm looking for. I'm currently employed full-time and am just looking for part-time work (for now). I figure this will get my foot in the door just in case.

Anybody here work for UPS? Any tips or advice you can give me? What things can I expect? What things should I look out for? What kinds of Questions should I be asking?

Thanks.
Howard

Have you taken a course in throwing parcels with the word fragile on them from a elevation of 100 ft or kicking them across the floor ?

That is what UPS in this region or the world is known for

It would be nice to see a "Caring" UPS worker in the fold.

Good luck with that job of you get it.

Thanks, Mil1ion. I would imagine "proper package handling" will be on the job training.

Just tell them that you are interested in the position, and hope it turns into a career. MOST IMPORTANTLY: let them know you are good with people, and sincere about doing a good job. I work for the US Postal Service (30 yrs.) and when interviewing potential employees I look for the person who can best get along with others, who has a clear sense of doing a good job, and who is interested in PT work turning into a career. Good Luck!

Thanks, Buck. I checked on truck driving jobs with the P.O. but they require 2 years experience. I've got to get some behind the wheel time first.

I am interested in the position, but I'm not 100% sure I want a full time career yet. As I said in my initial post, I've got a full time job, I'm just looking to pick up some extra cash for right now. However, there are some things happening that may effect whether I decide to stay where I'm at or move on. Only time will tell.
