Tired of accidentely hitting the heated seat button with your leg when getting in or out of your truck and not being able to see the wimpy stock indicator light without pulling over and opening the door to check it? I mounted these (available at auto parts stores and stereo shops) on top of the plastic seat trim so at least I can just look down now and see if it's on or off. Pull the plug, insert power wire to yellow/green wire and black to black. Drill 1/4" hole in your brand new truck seat and insert LED and tighten.
Thanks, they're nice, but they didn't put the switch in very good spot. I'd get in my truck after work, crank the A/C and wonder why I was still burning up and would have to stop open the door, bend down to see if the light was on because it's on the side of the seat and it's just a dull glow. I was going to hook them to the upfitter switches but I'm lazy, this was way easier. You can see in the picture how bright the stock seat switch light is when it's on, can't even see it!
I got very frustrated when I got my superduty because I was always hitting the button when getting in or out so I just used the cheap method to fix, I just pull out the fuse for the summer months.
