truck strategy

Will a new flash change my strategy? I currently have the injector "buzz" flash, but was wanting to get the newer heat induction flash. However will this change my strategy, which will affect my SCT Tunes?

I would think so, but I'm not entirely sure. Matt would really be the one to answer that. Usually after a reflash you have to get new tunes.

When you use your tuner it just replaces the factory flash so there is no point in getting the newer flash. You tuner will just replace the factory tune.

Sometimes a new flash will change the strategy, always make sure you put the stock program back in before going in to the dealer. If your tunes won't work when you get the truck back all you have to do is read the new strategy, call up whoever you got your tunes from and give them the new strategy and they will update your tunes.

This isn't true for a diesel. The tuner doesn't reflash the FICM, but it does the ECM and TCM. I don't know how it applies to a gasser.
