Need more info. Have you been working on the Carb? What type of Carb?
I know that an accel pump problem can give the symptoms that you are discribing. Check to see that you have a good gas stream from the pump when the throttle is operated. With engine off, look down the primary bores and slowly open the throttle. You should see 2 steady streams of fuel. If you have been working on the carb as in a re-build or something, make sure that you have the Accl pump linkage set correctly. The pump should start to discharge as some as the throttle starts to open.
Good luck,
Lee
