Hi guys ,what's new?
Did plugs finally,last 2 on pass.side = PITA.
All plugs were torqued anywhere from 10 to 17 foot pound, but non was loose.
Whoever did plugs before surely didn't use torque wrench.
All are nice in color but some had .080 inch gap.Threads are scary if you see only
4 of them in the hole.Ford really screw things up on these heads.plenty of material
there to make 8-10 threads but ,they decided to cut it out for clearance.
Overall ,next time it will be a lot easier and less worrysome.

i thought it was only 99-00 that had the short threads?? my understanding was that they got the improvements the same time as the light duty modulars... not so??

What you mean? spark plug sockets that torque to Max. 20 lb.???

Getting ready to swap O2 sensors and I'am confused.
Some sites says that I need 4 but I see only 2 on my truck.
Also parts #'s are confusing.Different seller different part's numbers.

No dual exhaust on mine.Went under and there's only 2 O2 sensors.
Found NTK's for 40$ each on Ebay.

if its a v10 it'll have seperate exhaust manifolds. to my knowledge there's a sensor on each manifold before the cats but maybe thats only on 01 and up or something... weird...

O ye,there's 2 manifolds,Y-pipe ,1cat,1muffler and two only O2 sensors on manifolds.
Checked OBD and it is OBD1,at least ProScan tells me it is.
I was convinced that it should be OBD2 on all vehicles 1996 and older,but....
must do some reading on this forum.Reads only 1 sensor bank1.
