No air... Please help

No air... Please help

I have search this site and can't find an answer.

Vacuum pump stops working about every 2 weeks. This causes the air to default to the defroster. I have checked fuses and connections for corrosion. Nothing. Any ideas?

Could be the seals in the hub itself. Someone will chime in on how to test that, LOL, for vacuum system on my truck goes like this, pump line to tank, tank to HVAC. There are no lines running anywhere else. No possible leaks for me.

Bad Vac pump possibly. or a leak in the vac lines that only becomes appearant under certain conditions.

Same here. I know it's not a leak. When it is working I have pulled the wire harness off and tested the connections, there is power. When it defaults to the defrost I pull the wire harness and test, no power... all fuses are fine, then several days later it starts working again. Is there a short somewhere? That's what I'm thinking. But where?
