I have personally bought nicer pickups the same year as that one for 500 dollars so I wouldn’t go anything over that.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Guess would depend upon whether purchasing as a keeper, or parts truck. It certainly would be quite a project. As a keeper, would be interested whether or not there is damage to frame and radiator support, and condition of cab mounts, and rust in general. The valance and hood are hard to replace, experienced body person may be able to repair, not sure about the fender, replacements run about $200. Not sure how much money would be willing to put in the engine. Appears bed may be in fairly decent condition, overall, likely take more than time permits for me as a keeper, possibly as a parts truck but I can't seem to disassemble vintage trucks for parting out. Probably would not pay more than than $200-$300.
Same as others have spoken; it being a potential frame horn damage could be a challenge; i don't like seeing the spark plugs out of the block; fuel tank in bed? Is the truck solid with little rust ? In my neck of the woods 200 to 300 bucks. If you got the front end parts to change; and engine good condition I be willing to paid up to $500.
I don't see a lot of value here. It's a standard cab with some pretty obvious damage. If you could pick it up for free and harvest a few pieces it might be worth the stress on your marriage.
Well you are Right about the frame rail being bent and the rad support, inner finder, hood, outer finder, bumper, grill etc.. THE GUY wants $1700. bucks for it. I offered him 500 tops and I have a friend that will take the bed for 400 so I'll let you all know how it works out... thanks
I would not or could not imagine that. Even 500.00 is to much unless you have the bed sold then it might be worth $500.00 other than that keep your money and continue searching. Where are you guys located?
If your in Ariz. you should be able to find something a lot nicer for even $500.00

Doesn't surprise me anymore. Because of Barrett-Jackson everyone who has anything from the 60's thinks it is collectible. From the guy who calls a 66 New Yorker hardtop a rare collectible... who really wants one anyway, to the guy who calls his Mustang a collectible muscle car with a 289-2V engine one has to wonder. Then there are those who look up the prices on NADA, which I feel is way out of line, and then think they have at least a car in grade 2 condition when we see grade 4 condition. Once in awhile you will run into someone who is very realistic about what he has. My Parklane, while not common, is not a high demand car at all. Generally good condition, especially the interior, and all for $900. The F-100 Custom Cab, with no body damage, no frame damage, a good 360, a good COM and a little rust under the battery and drivers foot was at $1000. Obviously the guy in Arizona has been smoking the peace pipe with some Indians.
Good bed? I think the tailgate is off because it dosent fit right looks to me that it is flaired out at the top a bit.. the Yellow 66 cc I own only cost 800..bucks and even though crashed in the front the same as this one I got a 352 4spd custom cab w/ac (much nicer than this one here!)
