Cruise In
I'm new to the boards, so I thought I might post up a thread. On Sept 28 the Town of Oakboro will be holding their monthly cruise in starting at around 1700hrs. If you have never been to or heard of this, it is a small town between Charlotte and Albemarle just off Hwy 24/27. They basically shut the town down with about 200-300 cars, trucks for an old fashioned cruise in. No charge, no registration, just show up and find a place to park. Then starting at about 9 pm comes the burn out contest located at the intersection in front of the fire station. This is run by the Oakboro PD. Run what you brung basically. No fees or registration for this either, just get in line and wait your turn. There is always a huge showing of Ford trucks. The website is www.oakborocruisein.com.
