MAF meter size?

Guys what is the stock MAF meter size for the MAF equipped trucks? Is it 65mm or 70mm?

Would a 70mm cobra maf meter work better if it's calibrated for 19's?

The cobra MAF had the same calibration as the GT MAF, even with 24 lb/hr injectors. The injector size difference was taken care of by a different injector scaling factor in the computer. I don't know if the cobra MAF meter would work any better or worse than the stock truck meter, though.

I have a Cobra meter on my truck right now, I don't see any difference worth talking about from the 55mm meter that was stock with the FRPP kit.

So stock was a 65mm and the FRPP kit comes with a 55mm one? Odd.

I beleive Conanski is refering to the FRPP Mass air conversion kit for trucks, 55mm, which I think is the stock size, not 65. And his cobra unit is probably 65mm. FRPP mustang upgrade kit is 70mm. gains are probably minimal unless you have some serious mods, or boost.

55mm was stock for the Mustangs, but the stock truck meters were larger.

I'd be surprised if the stock truck mass air meter is anything but the 55mm unit found on the Stangs.. but who know. The Cobra is 70mm.

Do you just measure the ID of the meter? Because my 96s meter is just over 70mm at its narrowest point. And thats stock.

The truck meters were different from the fox body mustang meters (which were used in Ford's mass air conversion kits), for sure. Looks like 70mm from BEWOLD's post...
