Transmission Question
My problem: When its warm outside (about 85* or higher) and after driving for a while (20 minutes +) at 45 to 60 mph it feels like I am going over railroad tracks. Like maybe the transmission is slipping. The tran fluid was changed 8000 ago, level is still good, and tran filter was changed. Pan and filter were clean (no shavings) when that was done. As of right now, no burnt smell. I also have hypertech program.
What do you think is causing the slip or the rattle/shaking????
I am thinking about putting in Redline synthetic tran fliud and new alum pan + a tran cooler. What do you think will it help?
Any better suggestions? I am tight on money, so any info on what works best or any better ideas (what works best) would help.
Thanks!
I would like to keep this going until the payments are done (next year!)!
With bad oil in the differential, it seems to me that the oil would be doing no good to lube the rear differential, causing an excess amount of heat, which could cause breakdown in the gears, leading to the symptoms you are noticing due to the breakdown of the gears in the differential.
Just an idea.

Do a search on "torque converter shudder" and/or read here:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...out-of-me.html
It also does only do the shudder on light acceleration. So, I will try fords AFM Thanks. I hope it works.
