I know i've read some suff about the main exhaust improvement being at the Y pipe. Has anyone installed one like this and has there been any performance change?

My dad has just got the E-Bay Y-pipe put on his 03' and I just got finished making a cutsom Y-pipe for my 04' using a Magnaflow Univ stamped Y-pipe with a Mandrel J-Bend.
Power is up some in the low end from what I can tell. I have not put more than 10 miles on since I changed the Y-pipe so some more driving and towing needs to be done before I can really make a good evaluation of performance gains.
The biggest thing I noticed was sound. After installing the Y-pipe I am going to be putting on a quieter muffler.(Current Setup in my Gallery) The sound difference below 3,000 rpm really surprised me, much louder. I can tell a lot of restriction was removed by ditching the stock Y-pipe.
