can these be brought back?

If you go in my gallery i have a pic of the front rims on my truck. Thes have 100K worth of brake dust and dirt baked into em and they started out as chrome.. what can i do to em to clean all this crud off that wont mess up the chrome?
Id have posted the pics on here but i have no clue how to post pics

i once had to clean a nissan hardbody with the same problem on all four rims. i used turtle wax chrome polish and they all came out as if they were brand new once again

Yep a light chrome or clear coated wheel polish and a Power ball or Power ball mini.

Try P21S Metal Polishing Soap. Works wonders!

they do make a wheel acid, but you have to be really careful with that stuff. i ahve seen the chrome ate off wheels all the way down to the nickel. i dont know if i would recomend using it on a set of polished aluminum or not.

I know that in the detail shop at my dealership we use acid on wheels, you have to be careful on those rims but it gets most of the stuff off, then just do a good hand cleaning. Those rims are really bad for looking like that and holding onto the brake dust so good luck.
