Close Call--Bad Brakes
A little while back I was having trouble with my rear brakes locking up when I had to hold the pedal down , usually after driving for a while. The rear brakes were not releasing. I read here about the RABS valve on the frame could be the problem. Well the problem seemed to cure itself until last Saturday. My Wife went on a horseback riding trip, a little farther than she normally does. While stopped at a intersection she noticed smoke coming from the rear of the truck, so she pulled the truck over into a small gravel lot off the road.Letting the truck sit while she had my Daughter call to see what they should do. While she was talking to me BOOM!!!!!!! The left rear tire exploded.They were so lucky to get off the road before this happened. Definately gotta get it fixed now.
Not to mention the truck (and I guess the horse too).
