no power from key

I'm stumped! this is my first post I have an '89 F250 460 4x4. Ijust replaced actuator in steering column and when I put it back together the fuel pump doesn't kick in or does the blinkers work. I replaced the ignition switch on the column and the key switch also. Iam not getting any power at the plug that goes to the ignition switch. I do not know what else to check. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to trace that wire back to find out where it gets it's power from. If it has any fusesable links or fuses you need to check that they are still good. You may also want to check you battery connections. Do you have any power? It may be that simple.

If I remember correctly, The acuator needs to be adjusted when replacing. Maybe it's not pushing the ign switch. Does the key spring back from the start position?

no I didn't have the battery unhooked because I didn't think I needed to but I guess that is what I get for thinking.

working on wiring = need for battery disconnect.

you blew a fuse or multiple fuses and maybe the inertia switch.

what were you thinking?

every manual has disconnect the battery if working on electrical like a hundred times.
