Coolant Confused
Ok guys I have read and posted read some more and seem to get a lot of opinion. I need to know what antifreeze I can run. I want to run the maintenance free stuff. I can get the Cat brand locally but no other places offer any good Deisel coolant. The Cat stuff is red and maintenance free. I plan to flush the system and replace. I have 103,00 miles on the factory coolant and never added the special additive. I am really worried about it and when I go to research the matter I find a lot of varriations and I need to know what is the best way to go. 2000 F-350 7.3

do a full flush with tap water , then flush the tap water with distilled water, If you have the Concentrate Coolant, drain the raidator add 3-4 gals of concentrate. and you're pretty much done. the water in the block with the 3-4 gals of cooncentrate should yeild a 50/50 mix or close. add 50/50 mix as needed to the degas bottle to top it off. if you use the ELC coolant there is no need for the fw16 additive anymore.
