I have a '99 F150 with the 40/60 bench seat. It has a folding armrest/storage compartment/cupholder between the 2 seat backs.
Does anyone know if the plastic storage compartment can be removed, and if so, how?
I've pulled off the cover with hinge, and the bottom portion of it doesn't pry out, and I don't see any other method of attachment. Other than adhesive?
I know that sometimes there are catches along the side that can release, but hate to pry too much unless I know for sure.
Answered my own question. Starting by taking the armrest/console off and started playing. Found that there is a ring that holds the upholstery on. Once those are both off, the foam padding comes off, and with some careful manipulation of clips on the cupholder assembly, you have access to the metal frame that holds the plastic compartment.
