no ground game. great puncher, hes obviously strong.

if he cant knock you out or ground and pound, the you saw what happens. henderson pushed the fight, rampage was sprawled out of dan for a total of like 6 minutes, and did nothing but lay on top of him and was actually booed.

dans ground game and skills are beyond what jackson will ever posess.

jackson is not a MMA fighter period.

if your strong and can throw a punch and land it, you should knock someone out. thats what hes about, thats not MMA.

 

I dont think hes as bad as you say on the ground. Did you ever see his fight against matt lindland. The entire fight was mostly ground. There was literally probably about 5seconds standing up.

Matt lindland is no slouch either. He is an olympic gold medalist who gave fedor emelianenko a run for his money. Very few people can do that.

Rampage got out of a full rear naked choke in that fight. Not something your average fighter can do against a wrestler of that caliber. He also got out of a nice guillotine but wasnt as big of a deal as the choke.

If you want to take it even further and say that a fighter has to have a ground game to participate in UFC, then you just ruled out a bunch of great fighters.

EDIT: To make that fair, youd also have to rule out people that have ground game but no punching game. That would rule out a bunch of people as well.

Also, you said if "you can hit someone you should knock them out thats not mma." What do you define as mma then? Mixed martial arts suggests that you know a mix of martial arts, id assume that would involve some kind of punching. Would you not want to knock someone out with a punch in the fight? Im being serious, im not trying to be a smartass.
