Fuel Filter?

Fuel Filter?
I have an 01 F-250 7.3L PSD.
I know that there is a fuel filter in the engine bay, and understand how to replace it.
However, I was underneath it earlier cleaning etc.. and followed the fuel line. Right under the drivers side door, there is a small canister with "warning high pressure fuel" blah blah... Is this not a fuel filter as well? It looks very similar to what my Mustang has by the fuel tank, just a little larger.
Anyways... is that what it is? if so what is the part number?

Damnit... now I don't remember if it had wires on it...
My wife and I were outside for about 5 hours, cleaning the engine bay, cleaning the interior, exterior and putting a quick coat of wax on it.
The engibe bay was filthy... I don't know if it was ever cleaned before. We just got it a few days ago.
I'll go look and report back or take a picture.
