I have a 4" SST Magnaflow system with the 5" tip. Sounds good but not near as good as the 5" system that was on my '99 sounded. If I could do it over again I would go with a 5". I am thinking of changing my tip to one of the double walled as I have heard that they will deepen the tone a little.
I will try and post up a sound clip later. You can hear it a little here:

Welcome to FTE. Hey scott, look on ebay for a 6"x24" tip. Once you get it for around $130 shipped, cut off the exhaust so its barely inside the tip. It made a world of difference when i had it on mine.
Welcome to FTE. Look at my gallery, I have a system that was put together by a local exhaust shop, Kris is right make sure your pipe ends just inside the tip, then the tip acts as a megaphone. Everything is better in Stereo
Brandon, forgive my ignorance, but when you and Kris say "just inside the tip", do you mean just inside the "entrance" or "exit" end of the tip?
From what Kris said earlier, it sounds like you guys are suggesting cutting back the end of the pipe so that it ends just inside the "entrance" end of the stainless tip. I just want to make sure I understand what you're meaning.

exhaust tip should be welded onto exhaust pipe with only a couple of inches pf pipe entering exhaust tip. In other words kindal like you were putting a couple of pieces of PVC together with a union , you dont run piece "A" 10 inches into piece "B"
