Blinking overdrive light
When I cranked my V10 yesterday, the overdrive "off" light blink a few times, then stayed off. This is the light that comes on when you push the button on the end of the gear selector to turn the overdrive off. I am not sure why. It has never done it before and has not done it since. Everything seems to be fine. I am not sure what to think or if I need to do something. I did check the transmission fluid and it seems fine. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Well a code has been stored by that light blinking. Might not be a bad idea to go get the code(s) read.
The light will blink when there is a mechanical fault or overheated fluid. Sounds like yours is not passing one of the initial diagnostics that happen when you start the truck.

I recall this issue often being the result of a bad, or more often, dirty VSS. Remove the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), clean it, reinstall VSS, disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes, reconnect battery, and go. I believe the VSS is mounted atop the rear differential.
