header gasket yes or no
1989 e150 302, put new stock exhaust header,pass side, about month ago,already leaking, can hear it, hoping to ck it later today, has gasket from auto zone, now im told dont use gasket for this year engine? whats best way to reinstall gaskets yes no? rtv? thanks

Stock header or manifold? I always use gaskets. Never had a problem. They come from the factory without gaskets, but when they are unbolted from the head they don't go back with the same fit. If you machine both the head and the manifold, then you could go back gasketless, but that isn't worth the effort. jd
