Confused

Looking through different websight for different parts for my 79, and I'm seeing some say the 400m is a small block, and some calling it a big block.
I really thought it was a small block.....

Actually, is is neither... It uses the same bell as a 460, but Ford uses so many different bells, they just group by engine family, rather than big or small... That is more of a Chevy term.

True story? Neither. Looking for parts some will sey "OK.............. Big Block Ford". I always thought "Small Block Ford".

true got in the same discussion before ... the big block and small block is best left to chevy can really tell the differnce between the two .... now ford just did the 385's series 335 fe's ect ect ect ...
