I've tried to piece together info on various posts but still have a few questions. I have a 2007 FX2 F150, 5.4L 3:73 Limited slip auto tranny. I would like to install a tranny temp guage. Several folks have "seen" a temp guage mounted where the coin holder is on the 2WD dashboard, does anyone know the source? Also, several references to mounting the sending unit on the pressure test port of some trannies. Does this apply to the 2007 auto tranny in my FX2? Lastly, my previous truck was very old and I didn't mind making new "stuffing tubes" in the firewall, not so excited about doing on the new truck, any advice?
I have a temp gauge mounted in that spot in my 05 F150. I can send you a pic if desired. I used the 1/8" pressure port for my sender. I would think it would be the same for yours as they're still using the same trans, right?

Reason: wrong info
Rancheroracer,
Thanks for the reply, sorry I took so long to respond but I was having cpu problems. Is that pressure port the port just above and forward of the linkage? Would really appreciate pics of the dash, and if possible, the sending unit location. How did you run the wire from the sender to inside the cab of the truck?
