I'm kinda partial to this option:
http://www.dieselmanor.com/pillars_pods/gauge_mounts_overhead.asp

But A pillar is also a common location.

Wish I could take credit for finding it - but it was Monsta (IIRC) that posted the link some moinths ago. I really like the "center-high" location.

Right now I tow with a laptop and AutoTap to display trans temp, cylinder head temp... But if/when I do some gauges that is where mine will go.

I haven't verified this yet, but it seems that one bonus would be that there is already "dimmed" & "key-on" power there for the lie-o-meter so I'll tap that for gauge power & lighting.

Thanks for the replies.I was looking at where the senders would tap in? Do you tap into the factory harness? is there plugs on the block you could use for Oil Presure? Thanks for the help, mark

you have to remove the old sensor from the block, your new oil line to your new gauge goes here. pretty much the same deal with the temp gauge. its really easy just use your head.

i drilled a new hole for the water temp in the water neck right next to the t stat where it should be. also i mounted the oil pressure in the back of the left cylender head where it should be insted of at the bottom of the engine... who cares if you have pressure at the bottom right after the pump i want to make sure its making its way to the top.
