Newbie
Just signed up to the forum and thought I'd better introduce myself
The neame is Neil and I'm from the UK. Worked for Ford for 34 years, latterly as an Oracle DBA in the Virtual Manufacturing Dept., getting retired early this year when Dearborn decided to move the work out to Germany as a cost saving..
Anyways - used some of the seperation pay to add to the car fleet and the new addition is a 2004 F2050 Lariat Crew-Cab with the 6' load bed and a Lear Truckman top. Basically we needed it to comply with the UK's antiquated towing laws as we have a touring caravan thats 2.5m wide. Law here says you have to have a vehicle plated at more than 3501Kg to able to do so.
Vehicle-wise we also run a UK spec 1998 Explorer with the 4.0L V6 engine whilst in the garage are a '63 Bullnose SAAB 96, a '74 V4 Saab 95, a '90 SAAB 900 covertible and a '79 Landrover 109" LWB 24v FFR. Stored away from home are a '69 Alvis Stalwart HMLC and a ex-Czech OT-90 tracked APC.
This is the F-250 we've just bought:
Neat, after working for Ford 34 years there must be a lot of memories there.
